Hawai’i State House of Representatives I District 44 I Māʻili-Nānākuli-Honokai Hale-Koʻolina

Darius K. Kila

Aloha!

I am running to represent District 44 in the Hawaiʻi State House of Representatives because I believe in putting Hawaiʻi first. The vitality and well being of our communities, our people and residents alike is what Hawaiʻi first means. The decisions that we make today will affect myself and countless others in our lifetime, and the next generation. I want to give us all a chance to live and flourish in the Hawaiʻi we call home; The time for action is now, and that is why I am running to be your Representative for Māʻili, Nānākuli, Honokai Hale and Koʻolina here in District 44.

Meet Darius

Darius Kila currently resides in Māʻili, Oʻahu and currently serves as the Community Liaison for Representative Stacelynn Eli and is a member of the Nānākuli-Māʻili Neighborhood Board. Graduating in 2013 from Kapolei High School, Darius went on to pursue a collegiate football career and study broadcast journalism in Tennessee, California and Oregon.

Although Darius has lived his entire life throughout the Leeward Coast, he and his family have never owned a home. Darius understands firsthand the difficulties Hawaiʻi families face seeking home ownership. Growing up on a fixed one parent income, Darius’s hardships and struggles helped mold him into the leader and advocate he is today.

From Hawai’i, For Hawai’i

Committed to creating a better Hawai’i for us all, Darius is honored to have the support of Hawai’i’s unions who believe in the same vision.

District 44 is home to a large majority of O’ahu’s workforce, and Darius is ready to serve, represent and advocate for the hardworking Hawai’i families of District 44!
